Creative & Cultural Policy

24th June 2pm-4pm

This focus group is for policymakers in Dundee and those involved in the city’s Cultural Strategy

What will happen?

At the focus group we will discuss the role of policy in supporting Dundee’s creative and cultural sector during the pandemic and in the recovery process. Topics will include the key issues and opportunities identified by creative and cultural organisations and workers in previous focus group discussions. Discussions here will emphasise how policy can support an inclusive, sustainable cultural recovery in Dundee.

The focus group will last around 1.5 hours and will take place online using MS Teams and an interactive Google Jamboard. All activities will be recorded (audio and text) and all data will be anonymised.

Example discussion topics:

  • What were the key priorities for the cultural strategy prior to the pandemic and how has Covid-19 has impacted the future of the creative economy and cultural regeneration plans in Dundee?
  • What do policy makers need from the sector to provide effective support?
  • How does Covid-19 change what a sustainable and inclusive creative economy looks like in Dundee?
